Last June we started the remortgage process on our home with the lady in de Pere has totally blown us off as nobodys. . In spite of calls and emails we have heard nothing in weeks. Unprofessional and lack of compassion. Hurts. We are just giving up on the banking / financial industry. Greed and coldness is all they seem to know. In our entire lives we have never missed a mortgage payment. This mortgage we have had for 25 years. Feh! Done.

Here to in the house and had a shortage of $2000 of escrow. How can they not calculate that much? I was towed my property taxes went up. I contacted tax assessor in Texas had not come out yet so there was no way they could know this. I was told my insurance went up. I changed insurance companies and reduced by premium by $1100. And I period of one week of talking to them my house note payment has changed three times now with another analysis due of why.The last time I spoke with someone, with my insurance agent on the other line, we were both talk to very rudely and unprofessional like. I was only trying to make a payment of a refund from my previous insurance company back into escrow. Another experience but I just started looking for another company with the same rate. I am not one that ever feels out complaints on sites such as this but enough is enough

I have had nothing but issues with Cornerstone. I was impacted by Hurricane Harvey and they offered me to take part in their Modification Program. I appreciated that because I had lost income from my company closure. For some reason their payment department and Modification department don't connect. I had to call and make payments over the phone and they wait time is ridiculous. The reps are sweet as can be, but they lack knowledge, different answer from every rep I have spoke with. My credit report pops up that I am 90 days late on my mortgage payment(when I am not). After that I get a letter from one of my creditors that they are closing my account due to this and won't reinstate it. I just received a letter from Cornerstone escrow department stating that they are going to retain my surplus check due to delinquent status of my account. MY ACCOUNT IS NOT DELINQUENT. .......so I have to make a call to Cornerstone and wait another 20 minutes to be connected. The rep seemed a little confused, but said she will give research department my information. I wish I could refinance but I can't because I have too many new accounts on my credit report and have purchased several things for my NEW home and have increased my balances. So I am stuck....

My mortgage payments were $1458 when I received my escrow shortage of $6600??? That’s a stark shortage. How could they be so off on their estimations??? IDIOTS!!!

We had just finished a refi for one of our rental houses with Cornerstone Mortgage. They are so terrible to work with!!!! Their lack of professionalism keeping us informed (we always had to nag them for updates), they closed our loan 13 days late (costing us $$$), and we repeatedly had to provide the same documents (wasting our time!). They constantly promised things and under-delivered. If we didn't know better, we would have sworn this was their first time doing a re-fi---it was a painful experience. Run far away from them and find another company! We deal in real estate often and have re-financed numerous times and this was by far the worst experience we have ever had.

I advise anyone attempting to work with cornerstone to BEWARE and reconsider working with this company. Unless, you want to live the nightmare that I have experienced, turn the other way and run from a possible unpleasant experience. I was not in the market of purchasing house, but there was a property that I had been eying before it came onto the market. So, when it did I contacted a realtor and explained my financial situation. I had the means to purchase the house, but I had a lot of outstanding debt that I had open for family members. I explained that if it was not possible; I was not looking to purchase another house or attempt to complete the transaction because I had a home that I only $58,000 and I was happy where I was at. I just wanted more property, so if it was not possible it was what it is. I had tried to work with another Loan officer (LO), but he was not receptive on reviewing or working with my situation. So, my realtor and I decided to work with Sophia at Cornerstone, who stated she could work with my situation. I was upfront regarding my situation and she stated she could work with my file. She explained there were several obstacles; however we could work them out. Once, we began the process I provided my documents on a timely manner, usually within 24 hours. I also, moved accounts as Sophia directed and within 24 hours. I put my house on the market and I received multiple offers within 24 hours, so I stressed to Sophia it was imperative that she review my file and inform me ASAP if there was a possibility that I unable to be approved. Sophia explained that our biggest obstacle would be refinancing my daughter home to her name. In the process of trying to get my loan approved; the individuals who were purchasing my home hit an obstacle of their own, so again I attempted to contact Sophia to inquire if she could foresee any issues with the purchase of the home I wanted. Sophia did not respond to me that week via email or by phone. When I complained to her, her excuse was that she was in the hospital, which I apologized for being upset. Sophia stated she was not in the office, but she would contact me later. She sent me an email the next day stating the loan process was going great. Again, the individuals purchasing my home had another issue arise and they had to extend the closing date, so again I asked Sophia how was my file and when she anticipated a closing date for my new purchase? I was informed that I would be closing on Monday 09/26/16, so I agreed to extend the closing of my home to Wednesday 09/21/16. Then Friday (09/23/16) before we were scheduled to close on my new purchase, Sophia’s team emailed because she was out again requesting nine additional documents; including my bank and pay stubs. Since, Sophia had my file since August all my documents were date in July. I was also informed that the appraisal for my daughter’s house had not been completed. Well, my file finally went to the closing department and after everything was complete and approved financially, my loan was denied because the appraisal to my daughter’s house came back lower than anticipated. I was also promised that I would be credited for the monies on my extension. So, needless to say not only am beyond LIVID and HOMELESS I am SOL on the money I invested into this property. I sold a home that I only owed $58,000 and I do not have a home for my grandchildren because Sophia dropped the ball and did not order the appraisal in a timely manner and all she had to say was “she did not force me to sell my house and I knew I had a previous LO who could not help me.” So, RUN THE OTHER WAY.

The problem was never resolved.And, to ensure I could not have the possibility of getting a loan with another company they placed a note on my appraisal that indicated the loan was denied because I had mutiple job changes, however when the LO wanted my business, my job title as an RN is what I was told was important. I was told as long as you have been working in the same field changing jobs is not a problem. They also stated I lied about renting my daughter's house. I was just a cosigner on her house, so how can I rent it to her. I was tols by the LO that my loan was denied because tge refinace on my daughter's did not appraise was exceted, not what was attached to the appraisal. I advise anyone attempting to use this company to turn the other way and run.

I do not recommend this company. They offered me services based on data they "thought" they heard from me. It took them 2 1/2 weeks for them to process the paperwork, the whole time telling my realtor, the seller, and the seller's agent that this was a "slam-dunk" and to stop being paranoid. And, you guessed it, last day it was "nope, we can't do it... sorry we misunderstood your needs". 9 minutes later then dinged my credit card for their "fees". Total fail, and loss of valuable time for all parties. Do your research and choose another lender. Cornerstone Mortgage will NOT stand by you (the customer).

I would NEVER use this company. Adam had me jumping through hoops for SIX months. I did everything he asked, and then he dumped my file on the desk of a woman who sounded like she was being bothered. I went to Churchill Mortgage. Within six WEEKS we has our home. Thanks for NOTHING Cornerstone. To be LIED to, and made to believe that they could take care of everything was terrible. Adam came off as a spoiled airheaded wanna be professional. Don't believe everything they say.

Agree!!! We had to deal with office in Dallas with Amir and he is really worst of all. He gives personal comments on your assests/ liabilities and makes the process look difficult than what it is in real. Does not call back when he assures he will in 5 mins!!! He also makes unreasonable demands how your liabilities need to be taken care of in one night and next day you have to explain him and he will find a new fault in your account- the process goes on and on.....until you are really fristrated...,..Please run away from this office!!! We went to another lender and our process was really really smooth. They locked a good rate for us too.No one commented on your personal assests or liabilities.

To get the incentives our builder was offering, we had no choice but to go through CornerStone Mortgage when buying our home. I cannot wait until our one yr is up and we can refinance with another lender. ANY other lender. They are so ridiculous. My husband is the "owner" of the home, but I AM on the paperwork as an authorized person to speak to. However, everytime I call and try to ask a question or get info I'm told I'm not authorized to speak on the account. Even though my husband has called about it twice..in 6 months. They're idiots. Not to mention, we've been sending in half payments, twice a month. It's just easier that way. No complaints, notices, warnings or anything from them in 6 months...suddenly they don't accept half payments. They're just gonna refuse payment from my bank, causing us a late fee and then just be like " oh, so sorry you didn't know" like it was all on us. Having never been told, they just expected us to know this. No one ever knows anything when my husband calls. When we FINALLY get taken off hold (IF they didn't hang up on us first) We ask simple questions such as "If we send in a separate large escrow payment, can we have an escrow reanalysis to possibly lower our monthly payments?" The guy says.. "You have to pay into your escrow every month. It's part of your mortgage payments." .. yeah, no ***, ***. Thanks for NOT answering my actual question. I HATE these people and I'm in the process of leaving a complaint with the BBB as well. I mean, really, they can't get their *** straight and hire knowledgeable people...? I'm ready to pay another down payment and closing costs to refinance this loan with another bank and get rid of these ***
